Ambassadors Fellowship was founded by Rev. Virgil Lee Amos in 1982. He truly accepted Jesus as Savior at ten years of age and began sharing the gospel with a passion in high school. He attended Moody Bible College, where he realized what he was burdened to do: Missions. He first went to Mexico in 1962, the same year he married his wife, Martha. The Amoses ministered throughout Europe in the early ’60s and then served in India for a year. After using Virgil on several continents and giving him a variety of missions experience and Biblical education, the Lord brought together all those experiences with the person he had made Virgil to be. He turned it into what would be Virgil’s life work: the founding of Ambassadors Fellowship International.
