We are a growing band of believers who want to go all in for Jesus Christ. At first glance, we look like doctors, dentists, nurses; pastors, bankers, teachers and parents. But no matter our walk of life, we want God to see us as trustworthy servants who long to use our God-given platforms for His kingdom.
We’ve been leading young adults on short-term, international medical and humanitarian mission trips since 2017. And we’ve witnessed countless lives changed as God becomes real to our teams. Our goal is to take the comfort God has blessed us with and to get uncomfortable for the sake of the future elect.
HEARTFIRE trains future healthcare and non-healthcare leaders to sharpen their medical skills and advance their humanitarian aptitude; then provides unique opportunities to travel both locally and globally on life-changing mission trips – transporting them from the comfort of their familiar surroundings to serve in the unfamiliar… a place where real transformation begins.
• Our vision, mission and motivation are driven by our conviction that Jesus’ love for us compelled Him to leave the glory of His heavenly throne room to enter His creation and rescue us from our sin through His death on the cross. [2 Cor 5:21, Gal 2:20]
• We have been persuaded that it is not our goodness or works that lead to eternal salvation, but only by faith in the perfection and saving grace of Jesus Christ. [Eph 2:8-9]
• Yet we are convinced that this life is a try-out for eternity and desire to be found faithful as we build on the only foundation of Jesus Christ. We realize it is only through God’s grace that we are counted worthy to plant seeds or to water them… but it is only He who makes them grow. [1 Cor. 3:5-15]
• We endeavor to make plain the mystery that when we finally choose to empty ourselves of our worldly desires that God, through His son Jesus Christ, fills us with something immeasurably greater and leads us on the unimaginable adventure He had in mind for us all along [Luke 9:23-24]. Once we taste His plan for our lives, everything we once counted as worthwhile pales in comparison to knowing the real Treasure [Matt 13:44, Phil 3:8].
• We embrace the Biblical teaching regarding gender identity and believe the biological gender we are born with was God’s intention [Gen. 1:27].
• We strive to promote integrity, honesty, and transparency in the manner in which we conduct our daily financial and management operations. We desire to be good stewards of all resources that God has entrusted to us.
• HEARTFIRE opens its mission trips without regard to religion, race or ethnicity to those participants who desire to step outside of their comfort zone in the pursuit of serving others.
• HEARTFIRE welcomes supporters, leaders and volunteers who recognize and are willing to serve within our values.
As they sit on the launching pad of life, we desire to transform the lifelong trajectory of young adults, teaching them to properly exercise their influence as we empower a new generation of world-changing leaders.
