Our History

Founded upon faith and prayer, International Commission has always been a ministry built upon Great Commission Partnerships. Over 40 years ago, Ben Mieth and Abel Gomez, one from the United States and the other from Mexico, partnered together to change two churches — one sending and one receiving. The concept not only worked; it flourished, showing itself to be internationally reproducible. Today, IC has partnered with tens of thousands of churches and has facilitated over 75,000 US and international participants to carry the Gospel to over 160 nations. Having been instrumental in over 13 million recorded professions of faith, it’s been said that IC is the best-kept secret in international evangelism.

International Commission - What We Do

– IC enlists churches to send out teams to work in evangelism and discipleship with Baptist churches worldwide. – IC helps prepare the sending churches and hosting churches for the project. – IC develops materials for preparation, for evangelism and for follow-up. – IC equips believers worldwide to carry out projects within their own country.
