Jesus and Me Children's Ministries (JMCM) was founded in 2000 by David Knowlton Japaini in response to the growing needs of orphaned, vulnerable, and disadvantaged children in Uganda. The ministry was established with a vision of demonstrating the love of Jesus Christ through holistic care, education, discipleship, and community development.
What began as a small outreach to children in need has grown into a Christian non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable children and their families. Over the years, JMCM has provided educational support, food assistance, medical care, child protection, spiritual mentorship, and life-skills training, while partnering with local communities, churches, volunteers, and international supporters.
Today, Jesus and Me Children's Ministries continues to serve children and communities across Uganda. The organization is working towards establishing a permanent Children's Home, School, and Medical Centre to provide sustainable care, quality education, healthcare, and hope for future generations.
Guided by Christian values of love, compassion, integrity, and service, JMCM remains committed to empowering vulnerable children to become God-fearing, educated, healthy, and self-reliant individuals who positively impact their communities.

Our History

What We Do

Jesus and Me Children’s Ministries (JMCM) is a Christian non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of orphaned, vulnerable, disadvantaged, and refugee children and their families in Uganda. Guided by the love of Jesus Christ, we provide holistic care that addresses children’s spiritual, educational, physical, emotional, and social needs.
Our work includes:
• Providing access to quality education through school support, sponsorship, scholastic materials, and vocational training.
• Promoting child protection and safeguarding to ensure every child grows up in a safe, loving, and nurturing environment.
• Supporting children’s health and well-being by facilitating access to medical care, nutrition, clean water, sanitation, and hygiene.
• Sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ through Bible teaching, discipleship, mentorship, prayer, and Christian values.
• Empowering young people with life skills, leadership training, practical vocational skills, and opportunities for personal development.
• Strengthening families and communities through community outreach, economic empowerment initiatives, and partnerships that improve children’s welfare.
• Mobilizing local and international volunteers to serve communities through education, healthcare, construction, mentoring, and humanitarian programs.
• Developing sustainable projects, including the establishment of a Children’s Home, School, and Medical Centre, to provide long-term care and opportunities for vulnerable children.
Through these programs, Jesus and Me Children’s Ministries seeks to raise a generation of God-fearing, educated, healthy, self-reliant, and responsible individuals who will positively transform their families, communities, and the nation.
