King’s Kid Ministries International

King’s Kid Ministries International is dedicated to bringing hope to hopeless kids who have been left orphaned or destitute by providing them free shelter, education, healthcare, feeding, clothing and spiritual nurturing. We welcome you to come alongside and serve with us. We have short and long term volunteer and mission opportunities.

Our History

King’s Kid Ministries International (KKMI) began in the hearts and home of Robert and Esther Mponye in 2005. What started out small has developed by the power of the Holy Spirit into a broad ministry encompassing a network of church plants, a Bible school, children’s homes, primary education, a medical clinic, constant evangelistic outreaches, farming and much more.

Since King’s Kid Home School (KKHS) was started in 2005 to shelter and educate children, it has undergone huge transformation in all areas, from increasing the number of children it accommodates, to improvements in the school facilities. Local initiatives designed to generate income to ensure a sustainable future for the ministry have also grown.

Our Mission

We have a holistic approach to propagating the Saving Gospel of Jesus Christ. In other words, we share Jesus, as demonstrated in His Living Word, practically, in a number of ways. King’s Kid Ministries International (KKMI) is serving the least advantaged individuals and communities of Uganda through supporting community development, education, evangelistic outreaches, discipleship, leadership training, and church planting. Our Vision is Healthy Churches for Healthy Communities. We believe the local church is key in reaching the community with practical expressions of the love of God, so we work closely with local church leadership networks and their congregations in pursuit of real community transformation.

What We Do

King’s Kid Home School (KKHS) reaches out to vulnerable and destitute children in Uganda with hope and opportunity through tangible love and compassion. Our vision at King’s Kid is to see that these children have a place to call home and receive transforming care so as to develop into empowered, productive and responsible members of society and leaders of their generation.

KKHS offers an intervention, physically and spiritually, into the lives of vulnerable children. We want to restore a sense of belonging, dignity and future in every child’s life. Sheltering, educating and loving children that would otherwise have been unsheltered and uneducated is our mission at KKHS.
