Latin American Missions Association (LAMA)

We are a San Diego headquartered 501c3 charity church organization focused on the Latin American community of the Americas. As our primary initial project we have created a missionary to focus on an area of Peru which was pretty wiped out in 2007 during a terrible earthquake. Due to the low income of the area a great deal of the area remains in need of repair still even 10 years later.

Our History

Founded in 2009, we acquired a piece of property and then broke ground in 2013 to build a mission presence to serve a group of farming villages in San Juan Bautista district, Ica, Peru. We opened in late 2013 and had weekly church services and children’s outreach immediately in partnership with a local church 30 minutes south of us.

Our Mission

By October of 2015, we received resident missionary family to serve the community based here. A year later, we had an additional missionary join them. We have tremendous needs here in about 5 villages within walking distance and a large one a lttle farther, that we simply do not have the staff yet to serve.

Our Values

We are a bible based christian organization which seeks to bring the love of Jesus to as many people that we can reach. In doing so, we have helped families with clothing, housing, building materials, health, education, food, services during floods, eye glasses, dental hygiene, teaching discipleship, music, english and many other services that we can find means or talent to deliver.

What We Do

We are an outreach organization. There is far greater need here than we are able to deliver on our own. We have built this mission house with the hope that more will come to assist, whether on a short or long term assignment. We seek to partner with mission organizations as well. We are in close relationship with YWAM/JUCUM having had many of their teams visit the mission. We are also in relationship with World Gospel Missions. Our desire is to encourage the building of Christ’s church in Ica Peru region. We seek to get this mission as active as possible as a destination of service, as well as a calling for locals to join in service. So much need, both physical and spiritual.
