Marine Reach

Marine Reach was founded in September 1990 in Tauranga New Zealand, as a maritime expression of YWAM mercy ministries. Since its inception, our ships, volunteers and partner ministries have reached over 500,000 people in the Asia-Pacific region. Our dream is to have several ships and send thousands of volunteers reaching our goal of 1 million people served by 2020. The M/V Pacific Hope is our 5th vessel, and is currently serving the Pacific Island nation of Vanuatu.

YWAM operated ships are ministering in the following locations under the umbrella of “YWAM Medical Ships”: The M/V Pacific Hope is working out of Tauranga, NZ focusing on ministry in Vanuatu. The M/V Pacific Link and YWAM PNG are currently working out of Townsville, Australia focusing on ministry in Papua New Guinea. The S/V Next Wave is currently working out of the United Kingdom into the Mediterranean. The Amazon Reach is serving the Amazon Basin. In the coming years the M/V Pacific Hope will continue to work in nations across the Pacific as part of “YWAM Medical Ships” enabling us to share medical resources, training, tech support and crew and staff across YWAM’s fleet of 27 vessels.

South and central Pacific. Health care clinics on the M/V Pacific Link, on trucks appropriately outfitted, and in land-based facilities. Need qualified volunteers with medical and dental skills, including opthamologists and eye surgeons, for both long and short terms.
