“RAVEN” stands for Restoring A Vision & Evangelizing Nations. In 1996 Pastor Troy & Melanie visited New Orleans for the very first time and their lives were forever changed. Walking into the French Quarter and seeing ten’s of thousands of people immediately brought to mind Matthew 9:36, “When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them because they were confused and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.” Their hearts were also moved with compassion for the lost and hurting and they were compelled by the calling to go and make New Orleans their life’s Mission Field for Jesus. Since opening the Training Center they have hosted hundreds of mission teams, church groups, and family groups that have shared their desire to make an impact for the Kingdom of God in the City of New Orleans.
