World Mission is a non-profit Christian organization founded in 1994 to support projects that took the gospel into third-world countries. Partnership with several Christian ministries included supporting projects such as Christian orphanages, youth ministries, counseling and rehabilitation centers and air transportation support around the world.

Between 2002 and 2007, World Mission focused on the half of the world’s adult population that could not read, by recording and placing the Talking Bible into the heart languages, and then into the hands of the people.

In 2007 World Mission first distributed a much smaller, more efficient, solar-powered Bible for oral learners, called The Treasure. By the end of the second year 2,968 Treasures went out. In 2014, we delivered the 100,000th Treasure.

A key component of our distribution is the relationship World Mission has with our national partners in the 10/40 Window. National partners work with indigenous churches and Christian organizations that share Treasures with people in the far reaches of the world, focusing on unreached people. World Mission provides the full Bible or the New Testament in an audio format that they call “The Treasure” in over 5,000 languages. Each unit is palm-sized and solar powered — designed for being listened to in groups.

Your gracious financial support goes a long way in getting the good news of Jesus to people who’ve never heard (or read!). Since it began sending Treasures, World Mission has placed over 100,000 Treasures spread out in over 18 countries, an effort impacting over 14 million unreached people. A Treasure, at $50 each, reaches approximately 144 people with the life-changing power of the gospel. The more Treasures sent, the more people reached!
