New Harvest Fellowship Church Tanzania (NHFC) is a young, Christ-centered evangelical church based in Chibe, Shinyanga, founded by Pastor Jacob Bonny. The church was established out of a strong spiritual burden to see lives transformed by the Gospel and to bring hope to marginalized and unreached communities in rural Tanzania.
The origins of NHFC are rooted in grassroots evangelism and discipleship. What began as a small gathering of believers committed to studying Scripture and sharing Christ has steadily grown into a vibrant local church with a clear mission focus. The church emphasizes three core pillars: passionate worship (“reaching up”), evangelism to the unreached (“reaching out”), and intentional discipleship (“reaching in”).
Since its inception, NHFC has distinguished itself through holistic ministry. Beyond preaching, the church actively engages in community transformation initiatives, including support for orphans and vulnerable children, children’s feeding programs, education support, and youth empowerment. These interventions respond to the socio-economic realities of Shinyanga, where poverty, limited access to education, and family instability affect many households.
Despite its relatively short history, the church has experienced steady growth and increasing impact. Through partnerships with organizations such as Amigos Internacionales, NHFC has expanded its outreach, participated in church planting efforts, and strengthened mission activities across surrounding communities. Today, New Harvest Fellowship Church stands as a mission-driven and community-oriented ministry, committed to raising disciples, planting churches, and demonstrating the love of Christ through both spiritual and practical interventions. Its vision continues to focus on holistic transformation addressing spiritual, educational, and social needs while mobilizing partnerships to extend its reach across Tanzania and beyond. NHFC hosts the World Hope Bible Institute.
