New Harvest Fellowship Church Tanzania

New Harvest Fellowship Church Tanzania (NHFC) is a young, Christ-centered evangelical church based in Chibe, Shinyanga, founded by Pastor Jacob Bonny. The church was established out of a strong spiritual burden to see lives transformed by the Gospel and to bring hope to marginalized and unreached communities in rural Tanzania.
The origins of NHFC are rooted in grassroots evangelism and discipleship. What began as a small gathering of believers committed to studying Scripture and sharing Christ has steadily grown into a vibrant local church with a clear mission focus. The church emphasizes three core pillars: passionate worship (“reaching up”), evangelism to the unreached (“reaching out”), and intentional discipleship (“reaching in”).
Since its inception, NHFC has distinguished itself through holistic ministry. Beyond preaching, the church actively engages in community transformation initiatives, including support for orphans and vulnerable children, children’s feeding programs, education support, and youth empowerment. These interventions respond to the socio-economic realities of Shinyanga, where poverty, limited access to education, and family instability affect many households.
Despite its relatively short history, the church has experienced steady growth and increasing impact. Through partnerships with organizations such as Amigos Internacionales, NHFC has expanded its outreach, participated in church planting efforts, and strengthened mission activities across surrounding communities. (Amigos Internacionales)
Today, New Harvest Fellowship Church stands as a mission-driven and community-oriented ministry, committed to raising disciples, planting churches, and demonstrating the love of Christ through both spiritual and practical interventions. Its vision continues to focus on holistic transformation addressing spiritual, educational, and social needs while mobilizing partnerships to extend its reach across Tanzania and beyond. NHFC hosts the World Hope Bible Institute.

Our Mission

To be a purpose-driven, Christ-centered community committed to learning and living the Scriptures, loving God, loving one another, and loving our neighbors.
We strive to reach the lost with the saving grace of Jesus Christ while uplifting the impoverished through resource-sharing, service, and empowerment initiatives.

Our Values

Our values define our identity and guide how we live out God’s mission:
Missional: We exist to fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19–20).

Relationship: We build genuine, loving, and accountable relationships (John 13:35).

Transparency: We serve with honesty, integrity, and openness (Ephesians 4:25).

Accountability: We live by biblical standards, accountable to God and one another (Romans 14:12).

Cooperation: We work together as one body, united in purpose and vision (1 Corinthians 12:12–27).

What We Do

1. Worship Ministry
We gather weekly to honor and glorify the Triune God through vibrant worship, prayer, and the teaching of His Word (Acts 2:42; Psalm 95:6).
Our Music and Worship Team leads the congregation in heartfelt praise, using instruments, songs, and dance to celebrate God’s goodness (Psalm 149:3).
We also hold monthly prayer and fasting programs and annual revival conferences to renew spiritual fire within the church.
2. Evangelism and Outreach
Our heartbeat is to make Christ known to the unreached.
We conduct:
Village and street crusades in partnership with local churches.

Door-to-door evangelism in Chibe and surrounding communities.
School evangelism programs that reach students with the gospel and discipleship clubs.
Outreach to marginalized groups including prisoners, soldiers, traditionalists, Muslims, street children, and prostitutes.

Mini-crusades and open-air missions in areas where gospel penetration is low.

We believe evangelism is not an event but a lifestyle—reaching people wherever they are (Romans 10:13–15).
3. Discipleship and Leadership Training
Discipleship is at the heart of our ministry.
We equip believers to be grounded in Scripture and to live as witnesses of Christ in their daily lives.
Our discipleship programs include:
Weekly Bible study and leadership development classes.

Church planter coaching program—training and mentoring pastors who are planting new churches in rural areas.

Youth and children’s discipleship classes, developing the next generation of gospel-centered believers.

Women and couples fellowships that strengthen families and spiritual growth.

Teacher’s and children’s worker training, ensuring effective ministry to young learners.

4. Community Transformation Ministries
We believe the gospel transforms not only hearts but also communities.
Our compassion-driven initiatives include:
Far Vision School – currently providing free education to 100 orphans and vulnerable children in Chibe.

Village of Smiles Orphanage Centre – a developing project offering care, education, and a home to 50 orphans( in planning phase).

School Meals Ministry – feeding 700+ pupils at Chibe Primary School to fight hunger and improve education outcomes. ( currently in Chibe primary only 65 students in Grade VII eat.)

Power Tiller Project – supporting families in sustainable farming to increase food security and income.

Vocational Training Program (planned) – empowering youth with skills such as tailoring, welding, catering, and mechanics.

Rehabilitation & Recovery Initiative (new) – identifying and supporting individuals struggling with alcoholism, drug addiction, and substance abuse through counseling and prayer-based recovery.

5. Fellowship and Care Ministry
We nurture spiritual family through fellowship, care, and accountability (Acts 2:44–47).
Our church offers:
Home fellowships and small groups for spiritual growth and connection.

Counseling and prayer ministry for families, youth, and individuals facing life challenges.

Visitation ministry for the sick, widows, and needy families.

Mentorship programs for young men and women, helping them build faith and life skills.

6. Church Planting and Mission Expansion
New Harvest Fellowship Church is an apostolic sending church committed to multiplying disciples and congregations.
Through our church planter coaching classes, we have raised new leaders who are preparing to plant churches in rural and unreached areas across Shinyanga and beyond.
Our long-term vision is to extend our gospel mission to Zanzibar and other regions of Tanzania, bringing lasting spiritual transformation.
