Come, grow and deepen your passion for the lost as you gain deeper understanding of who God is and who you are in Him. In our Photography Disciple Training School, a ministry of YWAM San Diego Baja, you will be able to use and pursue the arts and photography to communicate and advocate on behalf of others. This Disciple Training School (DTS) is run at our beautiful San Antonio Del Mar campus, just south of the U.S border in Mexico. It is perfect for those who are passionate about God and passionate about how to communicate His goodness.
Your gift as an artist is not separate from your calling; they can be one in the same. The heart of this DTS is to cultivate a life of intimacy with Christ and to train students on effective and powerful communication. We want to be a voice of what God is doing in the nations through photography as well as writing!
During the lecture phase, there will be weekly teachings designed to help you grow in the knowledge of the nature and character of God. In addition, there will be time each week where we have training to sharpen your skills of writing and photography. You will also have a chance to serve alongside some of our weekly local ministries, building relationships and using your media gift.
The DTS is a 5-month course, September 22, 2016 to February 17,2017 that will challenge and sharpen your walk with God! The first 3 months are spent in a learning atmosphere, and are followed by 2 months of outreach where students will head out into the nations to share the love of Christ. Our Photography & Missions DTS outreach focus will be a refugee focus. We will be traveling to Greece and other European nations, to be the hands and feet of Jesus and to be a voice for the refugees. God’s heart is for the lost, the broken and the displaced. We desire to be a part of what God is doing among the Syrian refugees and to share that with others!
Our YWAM San Diego Baja Discipleship Training Schools are designed to provide an opportunity for anyone to get involved in world missions. We do not require college degrees, work experience, or a seminary background. You do need to be at least 18 years of age, or a high school graduate, to apply for a DTS.
