Serve Orphans and the Poor in Guatemala: Our mission trips are all about serving and building relationships with poor families and orphaned children searching for a little joy and hope in their lives.

Where

All participants stay on-site at Dorie’s Promise in our guest house in Antigua Guatemala. We are able to sleep 20 adults in our home. If your team is to travel outside of Guatemala City for the night, you will be staying in a hotel.

When

We have the perfect trip planned for you. We run trips every week throughout the year. Let us know you’re interested and we will help you make it happen.

Skills

We have no education, training, or experience requirements. We do request you read our missions handbook and meet with our team by phone several times before you travel.

What We Will Do

Your experience serving with us will leave your life and those you serve forever changed. Forever Changed International is committed to serving in Guatemala in two powerful ways: 1. Orphan Care: Dorie’s Promise Dorie’s Promise orphan care home has been serving children for more than 10 years. We provide love and hope to each and every child that lives with us until they can find a permanent loving family to call their own. Unfortunately, in December 2007 adoptions closed in Guatemala, leaving thousands of children to make an orphanage their permanent home. On our mission trip you will spend time building relationships with the children of Dorie’s Promise as well as helping our team to keep our building and property clean and safe for the children. 2. Community Outreach: Guatemala City Ghetto/Guatemala City Dump So many of the children we receive in our home come from some of the most impoverished areas that you could ever imagine. During your time in Guatemala, you will have the opportunity to serve these communities. We will schedule a week full of ministry opportunities within the ghetto, garbage dump and state run orphanages.
