Corner of Love

Corner of Love is a growing international mission dedicated to glorifying God through healthcare, education, and clean water projects in Nicaragua. We lead teams from all over the world to serve in more than sixty remote villages near Matagalpa where many drink contaminated water and lack basic needs like medical and dental care, clothing and shoes.

On any Corner of Love mission trip you’ll find individuals from all walks of life, from different corners of the globe, all ready to work, all ready to serve Nicaraguans in need. We carry out medical, dental, and vision clinics, children’s activities, construction projects, and spiritual and educational development events, while supporting our in-country staff who teach their countrymen about Jesus, clean water, and ways to stay healthy.

You do not have to be a doctor, teacher, or healthcare worker to come. If you have love to give, you are equipped to serve . . . we give regular people a chance to do great things for God!

Our History

In 1983, Nelson Amador left San Ramón, Nicaragua, the last of nine siblings sent to safety in the US during a dangerous post-revolution time. After ten years, he returned home in 1993 and introduced his American wife, Tanya, and their children to his hometown and a way of life that he still longs for. Together they dreamed of how they could someday help rebuild San Ramón and nourish people both physically and spiritually. In the year 2000, they began working to make this dream a reality.

Today they serve the people of Nicaragua by hosting numerous humanitarian teams each year and Corner of Love Ministries touches the lives of thousands in impoverished Northern villages. Through medical, dental, and optical clinics, family sponsorships, service and water improvement projects, educational aid, and church development, the mission has grown into a major source of help for people living on less than $1US per day in the remote villages of the Matagalpa Region.

Our Mission

Native leadership helps Corner of Love achieve great things for God by teaching Nicaraguans how to take measurable steps out of poverty. Our in-country programs are conducted in a variety of venues, such as rural churches and schools, our office in the town of San Ramón, and at our ministry site, Plaza de Bondad, near La Lima River.

At these facilities and others, we provide services and goods to any deserving patient or person in need regardless of their political view or religious belief through these programs: Healthcare Clean Water Family Sponsorships Education Church & Discipleship Development
