Our History

Crosswinds brings the experience of nearly 50 years of service from its sister organization, Lifeline to this new organization which offers a full range of services that can be “mixed and matched” to meet families’ unique situations and changing needs. ​

In-Home Family Counseling and Coaching –Through weekly in-home, office or online “virtual” family sessions, we walk families through customized treatment plans and help them become stronger—together. ​

Caribbean Mountain Academy (CMA) – Many teens see life in a way that revolves around them—positively or negatively. What people think of them, the pressures they’re facing, the things they have, the things they don’t have, what they’re going to do for the upcoming weekend … the list goes on and on. In cases where youth need a new perspective, our therapeutic Christian boarding school in the Dominican Republic helps shift the focus from “my world” to “the world around me.”​​​​

Mission Trips – At our Caribbean Mountain Academy, we have Mission Teams from churches, families, businesses and college students come work together to create lasting change in both the lives of our students and in the communities surrounding our campus located in the Dominican Republic.

Crosswinds’ Missions and Outreach Program was created as an extension of our residential counseling program for troubled teens. Our location also provides the opportunity for us to partner with short-term teams like you, working together to create lasting change in both the lives of our students and in the communities surrounding our campus.
