MovingWorks is a non-profit organization that makes short films to tell the world about Jesus. This is why we humbly dedicate ourselves to prayer, partnership with the Body of Christ, and obedience to the Holy Spirit’s leading in our ministry.

Since the age of nine, our executive director Peter Craig has loved making movies. This passion for storytelling eventually inspired award-winning short films and led him to writing projects for Sony Pictures, NBCUniversal, and Walden Media. However, in the midst of this success, God revealed that he was using his gifts to establish his own reputation, not Christ’s. This discovery led Peter into a season of personal reflection and repentance which God used to start Moving Works on May 2, 2012.
Since its inception, Moving Works has remained steadfast to radical generosity and uncompromising quality while upholding two Spirit-led convictions: every film must glorify God and be given away for free. Fully embracing these beliefs, God has allowed the ministry to film in over 14 countries and produce a library of short films that have been seen over 80 million times spanning 180+ countries!
We film and share cinematic stories of real-life faith in Jesus around the world to create opportunities for Spirit-led engagement with God and His Word.
Our core values are…
Worship: What we do is an act of worship to God first and foremost. This was the originating call of the ministry, as opposed to mission, need, or opportunity.
Christ-Centered: We want our films and our ministry to point to Jesus – His life, death, and resurrection.
Depth: We desire our films to be an avenue to spiritual formation, which is best accomplished in community by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Generosity: Everything we make we give away for free.
Service: We feel called to serve God and His children with our time, presence, resources, and giftings.
Partnership: We want to partner with the global body of Christ to find, film, and share our work. It’s both a desire and a necessity.
Humility: We know we are just one small part of God’s work in the world. In response, we are confident in what He has called us to do, but we can rest in the fact that we are not the ultimate answer.
Excellence: We strive to create the best work we can with the gifts and resources we have been given.
Creativity: We desire to make films in authentic and compelling ways, striving to engage and provoke audiences with unique perspectives on Jesus.
Cross-Cultural: We desire to uphold the anchor scripture that God provided at the inception of the ministry: “Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done.” Psalm 105:1
Child-like Identity: We strive to work from a place of already having everything we could ever need. We aren’t just merely servants doing tasks, we are sons and daughters who are loved by God and invited into His family.
Dependency: We pray often, seek the Holy Spirit’s leading, and recognize our daily need for God to do all that we are called to do.
Using the language of cinema to provoke hearts and minds, we are called to worship God by filming and sharing stories of real-life faith in Jesus to illuminate the cross-cultural power of God and to invite both Christians and non-Christians into a deeper relationship with Him.
