Vanshika was born on the dirt floor of a hut in the slums of Nagpur, India. As she grew, she would often go to bed hungry, with only water to drink. Both of Vanshika’s parents were HIV positive and often too sick to work. Instead of attending school, Vanshika sold vegetables at the market to support her family, often staying out alone until 11pm at only 7 yrs old.
One day, Vanshika heard about the Love Never Fails International Center in her slum. Her parents allowed her to attend, hoping that she might have a better life. Now, she’s fed a substantial meal each day. She’s educated by caring teachers that tell her she’s beautiful and smart. She is hearing the good news of the Gospel where the ultimate source of hope comes from.
The statistics are staggering. 46% of girls in India are child brides. They lose their childhood and education. Over 3 Million Girls are sex-trafficked in India. Most begin at 11-13 yrs of age. And 37% Children in India will go to bed hungry tonight. When a child is hungry they can’t focus in school or fight off sickness.
Love Never Fails International (LNFI) was founded with the mission to bring orphans and children in the slums to safety into the loving arms of caretakers that will educate, love, and raise them to become future leaders for Jesus. LNFI has eighteen Child Development Centers throughout India which provide daily meals, academic tutoring, and Bible lessons to 500 children a week.
In Nagpur, India, LNFI has three Child Development Centers that serve 100 children. Still, there are hundreds of children who don’t have access to nutritious food, quality education, and the hope of Jesus. A former college professor and grade school teacher in New Jersey,Johnathan left the comfort of his life in the USA to answer the call of God in 2010. He first lived in a village outside of Pune for seven months, worked at an orphanage in Kedgaon, Maharashtra with 250 orphans, taught multiple subjects in a Christian village school, studied the Marathi language, and partnered with natives to facilitate a Jesus film out-reach ministry.
When God called Johnathan to work with the children of the slums and streets of Mumbai, he knew this was God’s purpose in his life. Through much prayer and wise counsel, God challenged Johnathan to start this organization, Love Never Fails International. The vision of this non profit is to rescue children out of the slums and streets of India and share the Gospel of Jesus.
